Commonground Parenting

CommonGround is a Flutter mobile app for co-parenting and family management. It gives separated families one shared place to coordinate schedules, communicate, store documents, and keep a clear record of activity with optional access for mediators, lawyers, and counselors.

The Problem

Co-parenting often breaks down across personal texts, email, and separate calendars: - No shared context - important messages get lost; there is no audit trail for disputes. - Scheduling friction - custody handoffs and school events live in different places; changes are not always seen or agreed on. - No professional access model - attorneys and mediators need visibility without full account access. - Scattered documentation - legal or mediation reviews need organized chat, event, and file history. - Unclear permissions - co-parents, children, and professionals need different levels of access to events, chat, and documents.

The Solution

CommonGround helps co-parents manage shared custody, schedules, and communication without relying on personal messaging apps or scattered calendars. The mobile app provides real-time family chat, a shared calendar with modification approvals, document management, and evidence export — with role-based access for mediators and legal professionals. Built with Flutter, GetX, Socket.IO, and a custom glassmorphism UI.
